At Sardine we serve a delicious Onglet steak from our pals at Swaledale Foods in Yorkshire for £15 at any time.

Share Dishes

Get friends or family together over for a lovingly cooked, seasonal southern French feast.

All dishes are designed for sharing and can be offered on their own or as part of a 3 course meal.

Breakfast cassoulet is back for weekend brunch!

Enjoy Alex's signature dish - a heady mix of confit duck, boudin noir, bacon, beans, tomatoes & a poached egg - on Saturday & Sunday mornings from 10am

Available with an absinthe-infused Bloody Marie cocktail for £17pp


Sardine Cookbook

Alex’s first book, Sardine: Simple Seasonal Provençal Cooking was published by Pavilion Books on June 6th 2019.

The book explores the food of Provence much as Alex’s cooking at the restaurant does - whilst some of the recipes are firm favourites of ours, others work better at home, but it’s all food imbued with the same big, spirited flavours of the South of France.

La Grande Bouffe

A monthly feasting dinner on a Monday or Tuesday night.

On each occasion we cook a regional classic, a special celebratory dish, a menu inspired by a single delicious ingredient or simply, something which we've been wanting to cook.

Sometimes we pair up with friends too.

We buy in great cheese from Mons where Alex used to be a cheesemonger, create new cocktails, and open up some new, interesting wines.
